Family Friendly Resort on Horse Lake

Located on Horse Lake, just 20 minutes from 100 Mile House, off BC’s fishing highway 24 is the Cariboo Bonanza Resort.

Horse is a relatively large and deep lake for the region, offering a wide variety of opportunities to anglers across the spectrum. Spring is a great time of year to chase Kokanee, small Lakers and Rainbows on flies. Once the summer hits and temps rise, trolling or jigging deeper often produces larger Lake Trout.

Although a larger, gas powered boat is an asset on the lake, it’s not a requirement. If you prefer to fish from a smaller watercraft, a series of productive shoals are marked with flags only a short row away from the main dock.

Bonanza also makes a great home-base for trips to any of the other lakes in the South Cariboo, as it has full hook-up sites and cabins of various sizes. There’s also plenty of activities for the non-anglers in your family, such as rentable SUP’s, hiking/mtb trails, and a fantastic playground for little ones.
