Fishing in Whistler and Squamish

Guide specializes in all access to beautiful Squamish and Whistler rivers

Teaching people about the joy of fishing and the serenity to be found in B.C.’s wild places drives Logan Wilkins to the rivers around Squamish and Whistler, B.C.

The owner of Trout Country Fishing Guides for 16 years, Logan says being able to spend time on the river every day sharing the activity he loves with a diverse client base is a tangible reward.

“Trout Country is an all-access guiding company,” he adds, noting his team offers guiding for everyone from pure beginner to seasoned fly anglers. He also caters to those who have mobility issues or are disable.

“All our guides share the same passion and commitment to provide anglers with exceptional service that travellers from around the world have come to expect,” he says.

Logan says the rivers he guides on have seen a kind of rebirth from the 1960s, when the area was heavily logged. Today, the forests are thick and green again, the waters clear and clean. The vibrant ecosystem is supported by ample runs of salmon that provide the nutrient base important to all flora and fauna.
